About Somebody That I Used To Know AI
Somebody That I Used To Know AI is a small independent team of web builders. We make one thing: the Somebody That I Used To Know AI video, the viral clip of two cats singing Gotye and Kimbra's duet at a patchwork wall, remade with your own face from one or two photos.
How the videos are made
An AI video model re-films the original clip one shot at a time with the person in your photo in the singer's place, keeping the wall, the camera, the cuts and the timing. The shots are then joined back at the original cut points and the post's own sound is laid on top. Every sample on this site was made the same way, from photos of AI-made people who don't exist.
Your photos
Photos are used only to make your video and are deleted from our storage within 2 days. Only upload yourself or adults who agreed; no children and no celebrities. Details are in the privacy policy.
Independent
Somebody That I Used To Know AI is not affiliated with Gotye, Kimbra, their labels, TikTok or @bellvtrix.ai, who posted the cat duet. Clips shown on our pages link to their creators, who can ask us to remove them through the DMCA page.
